Music Monday: New Horizons

Today is extra loaded with Animal Crossing because in addition to my regularly scheduled Animal Crossing Diaries post, I’ve got a New Horizons themed Music Monday!

It’s time to go over my favorite hourly tracks in New Horizons. The game’s just come out and I’ve only had hourly music for a few days, so maybe this will change, but on first impression, I really loved these tracks. Each hourly track incorporates the New Horizons theme in a way that stays fresh. I don’t feel like I’m listening to the same tune for hours on end. So without further ado, here are my favorite Animal Crossing: New Horizons tracks.

This is my friend’s favorite hourly track, and it’s easy to see why. That gentle guitar is so soothing and happy – it just feels like Animal Crossing.

I just love how funky this one is. I could see this one getting annoying though. For now, I love it.

This track’s got a great lazy afternoon vibe.

This is like, the track I wanna listen to when I go out to a chill concert venue. I could totally see K.K. Slider playing this.

2am is so peaceful and relaxing. It’s a perfect night theme.

Wow…this one is stunning…too bad I’ll never be up at 5am to play while this track in on.

Shop Closing

This last one is not hourly music…it’s the track that plays before closing time in Nook’s Cranny. And it’s lovely.

That’s all for this Music Monday. If you’re playing New Horizons, what are your favorite hourly tunes?

  1. All of the music is amazing! I love 5PM… it’s so unique and sound so different from anything else. I’m under the belief that the composers have played (and loved) Persona 5. These tracks, specifically the use of bass and guitar, sounds like it could blend in on the P5 OST and no one would bat an eye.

    1. I’ve never played Persona 5, but I’ve seen a lot of people say New Horizons’s music reminds them of its soundtrack. But yeah, I really love the New Horizons music. I’ll have to pull an all-nighter so I can play while the nighttime tracks are on.
