A Gamer Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just a couple days away and I’d like to suggest some ways to celebrate, whether you’re in a relationship or not. So go get yourself some chocolate and break out the video games!

Shiny Pokémon Hunts

Do some shiny hunting for a pokémon that becomes pink or red. Or go for something heart shaped like luvdisc or woobat with its nose. Or go for one that has both – jangmo-o! Shiny hunting can get a little boring, so I recommend watching the Valentine’s Day episodes of your favorite tv shows while you’re hunting.

Romance some NPCs

Whether you’re looking for your one true love in Stardew Valley, or just a quick hookup in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there’s something for you. You could also play a dating sim. Not into romance? Work on improving your friendship with some NPCs or your pokémon!

Spend some time at some heart-shaped lakes

What do Death Stranding and Breath of the Wild have in common? They both have heart-shaped lakes! Go take a trip to both and maybe take some hearty radishes with you in BOTW.

Help out with a Romance Quest

That heart lake in Breath of the Wild? Might wanna talk to a certain character around there. There are plenty of games where NPCs ask you for help when they’re hopelessly in love with another NPC. So why don’t you go help them out?

Decorate!

You know…make everything pink and red and heart-shaped. Or if you’re not into Valentine’s Day make everything dark – maybe with some black roses?

I’ve chosen to decorate in Pocket Camp with camellias instead of roses (they also signify love) and a few heart-shaped accents.

Grab Some Hot Chocolate

In Animal Crossing New Leaf, Brewster serves you hot chocolate instead of coffee at the Roost. I can’t wait for Brewster’s return in New Horizons!

Send Some Video Game Themed Valentine’s

There are tons of them out there. You just need to google! Or be creative and come up with your own.

Do you have anything fun planned for Valentine’s Day? Playing any new games?
